I need help adjusting the top speed I can't get past 6 place on a 2 chili pepper race on the American course in gt7 I've used many different cars and tried many different upgrades but I'm still getting beat and I'm wondering why my top speed isn't going higher on this course then in other courses with straights going flat out

Once upon a time ago I had a modest sized tuning garage in GT6 but life got in the way for GT Sport and I didn't have the time or enough energy to keep going with the tuning aspects of that game. Well, loading times are absolutely an issue on PS4. Just loading between different menu screens in GT mode takes 5+ seconds every time.
