My allergies/asthma got worse moving from the Midwest (Chicago) to West Coast (near San Francisco for 6 years, now near LA for 4 years). As far as I can tell, I'm pretty allergic to the trees here, and the air/fire pollution doesn't help. Rather than the bad seasonal allergies I had in the Midwest, the trees give me problems year round. But, YMMV.
